Assessment

  • Initial Online Assessment

    In order to enroll in LAUNCH, students are first asked to take on online church planter assessment through Church Planter Profiles. The initial assessment is free. If the scores are high, you are asked to take the full assessment that measures your temperament, disc, spiritual gifts, and strengths for $79.

  • Formal Assessment.

    Formal Assessment is a final process for assessing leaders in LAUNCH. The church planter and his or her spouse are sent to an assessment center that is geared specifically for church planters. There, experienced church planters and licensed psychologists examine the church planting family as a whole. This process takes place over multiple days and gives valuable feedback to the church planting family that includes further recommendations such as counseling and additional training.

Training

Students in LAUNCH are trained on the practical aspects for planting healthy church that will transform cities for Christ. Anyone who teaches at LAUNCH is experienced in the topic they present. All teachers have launched successful churches as well as coached other church planters. Because some coaches are also teachers, students are able to develop healthy relationships with other experienced church planters. The LAUNCH curriculum always being updated and available from the website. As more leaders go through LAUNCH and plant churches, there will be more best-practices that will come back to the site keeping the information fresh and applicable to reaching today's culture.

Coaching

Any student enrolled in LAUNCH is assigned a coach. We believe that one-on-one coaching is essential to training a great leader. Coaches are trained to mold and shape leaders in areas outside of the skills needed to plant a church. Coaches in LAUNCH serve as mentors to leaders and are trained to grow them spiritually and keep them grounded in Christ through the LAUNCH process. Learn more about coaching here.
